Emergent Solren Private Limited – SECI RJ operates a 200 MW solar power plant as part of a total installed capacity of 280 MW. The project has been developed under the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) framework, which is one of the foremost Navratna Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSU) dedicated to the growth and development of renewable energy capacity in India. SECI plays a significant role in promoting clean energy projects across the country and contributes substantially towards achieving India’s ambitious renewable energy (RE) targets.
The project is located on the western plains of Rajasthan in the Bikaner district, a region known for its vast desert landscape and strong solar resource availability. This region experiences extreme hot desert conditions during summers and mild winters, with temperatures often rising significantly during peak months. The climatic conditions allow maximum daylight exposure throughout the year, making the area highly suitable and efficient for large-scale solar power generation.
The electricity generated from the plant is supplied primarily to state-owned distribution companies, supporting the country’s non-fossil fuel energy targets and strengthening the transition towards cleaner power sources. Through its integration with the national power grid, the project also supports efficient grid management and energy stability, ensuring reliable power supply while contributing to the overall renewable energy ecosystem.
By harnessing the abundant solar resources of the region, Emergent Solren Private Limited – SECI RJ plays an important role in expanding India’s renewable energy footprint while supporting sustainable power generation and long-term energy security.
