Emergent Solren Private Limited – Goyalri operates a 60 MW solar power plant, forming part of a total installed capacity of 78 MW. The project is considered a relatively smaller installation within the region but plays an important role in contributing to the renewable energy capacity of Rajasthan. It is located near Gajner in the Bikaner district and is primarily associated with the Goyalri solar farm, which has emerged as a notable solar development in the area.

The solar plant spans approximately 436 acres of land and has been developed using 100% single-axis tracker mounting systems, which allow the solar panels to follow the movement of the sun throughout the day. This technology helps improve energy generation efficiency compared to fixed-tilt systems. The project also utilizes an outdoor inverter configuration, which supports efficient conversion of solar power and enables smooth integration with the grid infrastructure.

The project has been operational since March 2017 and supplies electricity to National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Through this long-term agreement, the plant contributes reliable renewable power to the national grid while supporting India’s broader clean energy goals.

The project is located on the western plains of Rajasthan in the Bikaner district, a region known for its vast desert landscape and strong solar resource availability. The area forms part of the Thar Desert region, which is characterized by open terrain, minimal cloud cover, and excellent solar irradiation levels.

This region experiences extreme hot desert conditions during summers and relatively mild winters, with temperatures often rising significantly during peak summer months. Rainfall in the region is limited, and the area benefits from long hours of uninterrupted sunlight throughout most of the year. These climatic and geographical conditions make Bikaner one of the most suitable locations in India for large-scale solar power generation.

With its favorable location and modern solar technology, the Goyalri project contributes to strengthening the renewable energy infrastructure of the region, providing clean and sustainable electricity while supporting India’s transition toward a low-carbon energy future.
