Brightsolar Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. (BREPL) operates a 10 MWac solar power project with a total project capacity of 12.50 MW. The project is located in the Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh, in the Anantapuram region, which serves as an important administrative, commercial, and agricultural hub in the state.

The solar plant has been operational since January 2016 and is spread across approximately 46 acres of land. The facility utilizes polycrystalline solar modules, installed on a combination of fixed-tilt and single-axis tracker mounting systems. This hybrid configuration helps optimize solar energy capture by allowing a portion of the panels to track the movement of the sun during the day, while the fixed-tilt structures provide stable and reliable generation. Together, these technologies support efficient energy production and improved overall plant performance.

The Anantapuram region has favorable climatic conditions for solar power generation, with high solar irradiation, clear skies, and long daylight hours throughout most of the year. These factors make the district a suitable location for renewable energy projects. In addition to its agricultural importance, the region has also been witnessing steady industrial development, contributing to economic growth and increased demand for reliable power supply.

Electricity generated from the BREPL solar facility is supplied to the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL), supporting the state’s power requirements and contributing to the expansion of clean energy within the regional grid.

Through its operations, BREPL plays a role in strengthening renewable energy infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, while supporting sustainable power generation and contributing to India’s broader renewable energy goals.
